MR2, do you know any stories about that or links to them? I was aware that he had a hand in developing the MK2 suspension, in a test driving capacity, but I've never seen details.

Saddened to hear about the passing of Dan Gurney. Seen here having fun at 2012 Goodwood Revival. The script said "... Dan Gurney will then spray the GT40 with champagne". The man decided otherwise!

I just can't imagine Seb Vettel deciding to do a coast to coast high speed "rally" on his day off. Pr would have a meltdown. Rip Mr Gurney

RIP, an amazing career. I love the diversity of winning races in so many categories, pioneering aerodynamics, and running a top team.

He gave me one of my first ever jobs; mucking out the dyno room in his AAR factory in LA 1979. It was a shit job but he was a lovely guy who also lent me a car to get around. So laid back. Condolences to the whole Gurney family. #DanGurney #F1 #IndyCar #AllAmericanRacers #Eagle

Sad he's gone but incredibly thankful he was born in the first place. A true individual among legends of the day and the only one Clark feared supposedly. Just try to imagine auto racing today without his and Black Jack's influence.

I did know he raced for Brabham. Wow that must have been an amazing combo of two giants, both drivers and mechanical talents.
It really throws back to a different era when you could be a “polymath” (quotes for using it in a racing sense, rather than just an intellectual), today you have to be such a specialist.
Yep, I first heard of him thru his flap too!

    RIP dude!
