    Weathertech Laguna Seca

This affects multiple series, and we don't have a generic news thread, so I figured this was worthy of its own post.

Mazda's naming rights deal expires on March 31, and Weathertech is starting a multiyear deal with the track after that. I was under the impression that it was under the threat of closure, but this seems like a great sign.
Get that weak shit off my track

Link's not working..., their server is probably down?

Anyway, good to know the track goes on, but not sure if I like the new name...

Doesn't bother me, everyone outside of the business of promoting races will still just call it Laguna Seca.

Yep. I still call Lowes Motor Speedway Charlotte and pretty much any other 'sponsored' track.

To us non-ball-sports-watching plebs, it’s hard when a stadium changes its sponsor. We've got no friggin idea which city it’s in, and no way to decipher when people refer to teams using their animal names and not their locations.

“The Sharks met the Bulldogs today at Benson & Hedges Park…”
