Mercedes F1 team didn’t reinvent the wheel as if their engineers never seen the wheel before. Surely things could influence each other and we build on what worked well.
But who laid the foundation for its success? It can be debatable but I’m pretty sure most would credit Ross Brawn, right? Mercedes with all the money in the world won’t be able to buy F1 success without him assembling the right team. Of course the team also hired personnel and copied ideas from other teams, but only a proper foundation could help the team flourish like that.
And should a championship winning team make radical changes every season that go against Brawn’s philosophy? Of course not!
Should a championship winning also make absolutely no changes because they’re on top already? Of course not!
I don’t get why you guys believe JBP is against social change... he does dislike SJW... and believes kids right off of college should explore or gain more experience rather than get too involved with political activism right away. Seriously, what do these kids know? Do they have own lives all sorted out?
If you are a gun violence survivor or someone directly involved with the issue, I can understand. Or if you are really passionate about politics... then go ahead and win a congressional seat and make a difference and learn on the job like AOC.
I also don’t think JBP would have any issues with Dr King kind of non-violence political activism. Plus, Dr king wasn’t just a kid anymore and even if things fail, you know he’s not going to start rioting.
In a way, you can’t blame angry and hurt folks for rioting when their oppressors just wont change. But riots or suicide bombing will only end up hurting everyone... we need to find more balanced ways that can help make everyone happier. And try not to think of any group of folks as dicks.
