I'm thinking everyone's picks should be for the seat not the driver.
Rumors of Kvyat replacing Gasly already starting. No one picked Kvyat and I guess G'day, Alan and FaF would prefer the second Red Bull seat as opposed to Gasly back in a Toro Rosso.

    Thoughts?

F1 is 90% car. Yeah, seat makes sense.

We've had the discussion before, the year Kvyat was demoted I believe. I think it's something people want in a theory sense but in practice it hasn't happened enough for anyone to suggest the change in the offseason.

I don't think Franz is going to let go of an experienced car developer before the summer break, not when there was technical shuffle in the offseason.

Well... Brendon did allow the anti-Hartley tide to grow too strong TBH.

F1 politics are shit, but they've always been like that.

My personal thoughts, promoted Brendon to Redbull this year, on a one year, watertight development deal only, to give them a first hand understanding of the powertrain etc. Kyvayt and Gasley to fight for the Redbull seat for next year.
My thoughts would be that Kyvyat would have that seat easily .
Brendon was starting to find cracks in Pierre towards the end of the season.

Someone, or more likely more than one person at Torro Rosso really had it in for Hartley. Sure he didn't really excel but he didn't muck it up either and had some good results. I'd love to know what happened if Hartley ever writes a book or opens up about it.

I'd rather he spill the beans on the Merc mini1 to Ferrari.

1Isn't that what they say, that the Honda is the poor man's Mercedes engine?
