It’s not a hurricane but it’s definitely a power lines/trees/sheet metal roofs situation.
Be safe and evac yourselves and pets early if you are at risk of flooding.

Oh yeah, thankfully where we're at is not prone to flooding, we'll have no issues there. Even as it is, we're still only forecast to get about 2 inches of rain, that's less than we got from some of the storms this winter. If you're not in the inland parts of Southern California, specifically a lot of the desert parts, this looks to be a big wind storm but nothing we haven't already been through a few times this year rain-wise. If you are, well, start building that ark.

Today, Kansas City had the highest heat index in all of the US.
Vegas was 73, we were 115.

Wild fire from Hawaii seemed to have spread to Canada, eastern WA and Oregon…
We’re surrounded by major wild fires. Thick smoke is helping keeping our temperatures cooler so at least we don’t have to suffer in heat. However it’s always heart breaking to learn people are losing their homes not to mention lives…
