And as mentioned in the video above (re: where the measurement is taken), Guiness have confirmed that the measurement for the Wales st was taken on the inside of a turn, where it's steepest, instead of the centreline. So if they allow record holders to measure that way, then the potential streets for the world's steepest street title just got ever so much larger. A local surveyor even went to another steep street here and measured on the inside of the turn (33.2 percent) and then on the centreline of the turn (26 percent).
So yeah. Lost a bit of respect for that record now since it's not seemingly measured the way it should be.
