Petrov steps down as FIA steward after shooting death of his father
Harsh stuff.Vitaly Petrov has been forced to step down as a steward for this weekend's Portuguese Grand Prix following the death of his father.
Reports from Russia, via the respected RIA network, claim Alexander Petrov, who served as deputy leader of Vyborg City Council and was a renowned businessman, was shot at his home in the Leningrad region.
Edit: There's a Russian news channel on Telegram that claims that Mr. Petrov was shot as he walked back home, at around 6 pm local time. I suppose it was at an upscale neighborhood in Vyborg because he was found by a security guard, who also called emergency services. The crazy thing? It's speculated that he was downed by a sniper.

acket.
I don't like Vitaly Petrov and his usual fascist russian anti-lgtb stance but I'm sorry to hear that.
Damn, that sucks.
Sniper killing his father? Sounds like normal day life in Russia.
What a strange qualy day when medium tires are the fastest way around. When has that ever happened?
Probably more often than you’d expect. It may be hot in Portugal this weekend and the soft tyres would flake-out too soon.
I haven’t seen it happen in the red/yellow/white tire era yet where teams put on the yellows in the last part of Q3 and set the fastest laps with them.
DRS has ruined this track.

Indeed.
Otmar is an even bigger douche every time I hear his voice.
Albon should likely be fired. He gets new soft tires and 3 laps later gets lapped by max on 30 lap old mediums.
Bottas is shit.
Gasly needs a promotion.
Stroll is a loser.
Ok I’m done for now.
Race start was so exciting to watch!
Wish the track would get wetter...
That 2nd RB seat is really cursed.
