Pay attention to the nuance, man!

North Korea... is it that way because of socialism or because of a proxy war fought 70 years ago between the world's superpowers?
I’m not pushing one vs another, I’m pushing 1+another. Typical Americans are against socialism, I’m not against it.

Most of you guys seemed to be against capitalism, I’m not against that either.

I still don’t understand why DN is against me against hedge funds short selling, leveraging stuff. If we got rid of these unproductive parasitic hedge funds, those Reddit investors would be able to spend their time and money on more useful stuffs.

I think this article said it all.

Our main problem isn’t capitalism, but the unfair system which we’ve setup. We could also just as easily setup such unfair systems in socialistic societies, that’s why even in NK, the dictator can still live like a king above everyone else.

So our goal is the make whatever -isms fairer to all. It’s not just the fault of capitalism or socialism... people in position of power naturally want to tilt whatever system in their favor. Supposedly even Lewis Hamilton doesn’t want other young talents to be able to fairly compete with him in the same car...

We just need to steer our society in a fairer and more just direction. Jesus isn’t against the rich making even more money as long as he is actually contributing member of society. Jesus is also obviously for free healthcare and having free food for the hungry.

What I’m against is unfairness and unjust behaviors. Capitalism doesn’t have to operate in ways that are unfair or unjust. Wealth could be increased for all fairly and justly using capitalistic methods. I’m all for capitalism but I’m all against hedge funds.

I mean... he actually kind of is against it if you pay attention to his talk about how difficult it is for a rich man to get into heaven.

That’s when you end up loving money more than God.

I was referring to the parable of man who wisely invested his ‘talents’, more will be given to him... point is that Jesus isn’t for equal distribution of wealth or against people making more money. It’s the love of money that’s the problem.

Surely there are differences between Jeffery Epstein and Elon Musk? Do you really believe Musk is building EVs and Rockets because of money? There are much easier ways to make money if money is truly what you love. I can respect billionaires like Musk, but those hedge fund billionaires I couldn’t care less.

Redditers are at it again with round two on GME.

Fuck I wasn't paying attention...again. Lightning has struck twice. I hope it strikes a third time. A lot of the stock buys are one share at a time to push the price up, proving Dockonomics is a thing.

I'm thinking it's more hedge funds vs hedge funds with Reddit being a distraction: the stock nearly doubled in an hour (tripled if we're counting after-hours).
It's still heavily shorted (though only a fraction of what it was last year), so there should be at least one more significant squeeze when they announce earnings in about a month (it could plummet before it spikes again).

I was looking at getting in with a call option a few days ago but decided against it because they were soooo expensive due to the near 200% volatility. That was a mistake. Oh well.

I agree balki, I have been saying that retail doesn't have this kind of influence.

Well stocks are priced mark-to-market...so small incremental share purchases can move the price. Even one share.
