LA County posted a positivity rate of 0.9%, the first time since they started measuring that we got under 1%. Adjusted case rate per 100,000 is still too high for the lowest tier, but not by much.

The really great news is that despite opening up significantly over the past month and a half, things are still trending the right way.

No. I forgot about that. There is a local place that makes on-demand, gourmet doughnuts.

Update: Still no shot here. In my last post I was so exciting because the news said that it would be available for 18+ in hotspot areas, which I do live in. I go to the city website and my postal code is not covered. It’s still 50+ for my area.

So much misinformation from the media. Fake news bastards.

But apparently tomorrow the dreaded AstraZeneca shot will be available for 40+ everywhere in Ontario, (I think everywhere, or maybe it’s just hotspots). I don’t care that a few people have gotten blood clots from it, I’m thinking I’ll just go and get it. The odds of something bad happening are so infinitesimally small that it’s not worth getting worried over.

Lots of Americans cross into Canadastan to get prescriptions. Payback.

Buffalo is less than 3 hours drive. Why not try there? There is excess vaccines all over the place if what i'm reading is right.

Just take it easy and try not to sweat it dude! All the stress might compromise your immune system and end up clogging up your arteries without any help from AZ vaccine!

Masks are still pretty effective. I’m sure you will get your turn soon...

You know, this is really making me wonder why in the world that nations with excellent national healthcare systems, which took good care of their patients during the pandemic, are unable to come up with vaccines of their own?

Is it because we still need capitalistic money to entice people/researchers to develop these things?

If Bernie Sanders successfully achieved Medicare for all and we end up having a wonderful socialistic healthcare system, would we all of a sudden lose the capability to rapidly develop the needed vaccine like Canada?

I’m pretty sure the US-Canada border is still closed. I could try to swim across Lake Erie, but I’d probably have an easier time with the Detroit river. Apparently Michigan has a large surplus of doses. They probably wouldn’t sell them to us out of spite. Payback for us sending them our garbage for years.

Toronto’s garbage gets shipped to Michigan, and they don’t like it one bit. Area wise Ontario is four times the size of Michigan, yet we don’t soil our own land and send it to them instead. It stopped for a little while I think after an uproar by MI residents, but from what I understand started again. It’s funny I bug my cousin (who was) from Michigan about it all the time.
