I understand that different people have different realities, I certainly have, compared to any average of the situation.
What I don't understand is this need of lunacy scapegoat excuse mentality.

It's always easier to stir people up and get them on your side (including their votes!) by loudly and repeatedly blaming someone else, rather than relying on the facts to set out constructive arguments and/or policies.

Numbers are looking better in Canada these days. Wish it were so in the US.

I hope they don't reopen the border until Trump gets his act together. We don't need Americans coming here spreading the disease.

    "...Trump gets his act together."

My dad has not been good lately. Dude is 88 years old. He does not have much time left. If the inevitable were to happen soon, I would not even be able to go home to be with my family.

We're still one of the worst states for new cases, so much so that NY state has banned visitors from the southern states.

My brother-in-law (wife’s sister’s husband) just lost his father due to cancer the other day. He lives here, father lived in India. He wanted to go to the funeral but was told he would immediately be placed in 14-day quarantine as soon as he got off the plane there, so no sense in going. His sister lives in another state there, and even she couldn’t go to see her father because of mandatory quarantine upon crossing state lines.

The virus is so out of control in that country. New daily highs being reached regularly. No end in sight.

    FREEDOM!!!!

That why your country is a mess, with people dying at a great rate.

There are times you need to act in the best interests of the group. This is one of those times.
