Hamilton walked back his tire pressure comment in the post race interview. It was pretty funny actually.

He said he meant that when the tires heat up that the pressure increases and wondered what temperature the RBR tires were getting.

Which is not what he was implying on the radio.

I missed all that... are there regulations for tire pressures? I can’t believe they can protest other teams’ tire pressures...

Pirelli mandates a particular tire pressure.

Oh yeah, slicing and dicing thru the field and passed 2 more racers...

If Vettel could get back to his old self, I think I have this championship in the bag!!!

I thought manufacturer simply mandates a range of safe pressures, anyone crazy enough to race outside of the specified range does it at his own risk? Can cars be disqualified post race for running at ‘illegal’ pressures in their tires?

Anyway, although Mercedes denied this, I do wonder if their DAS steering is causing extra blisters on their tires...

It's a minimum tire pressure mandated by Pirelli.

If it were just that, couldn't they just not use it?

Actually the rules state that if you have a cool new toy then you must use it.
