    You are forgiven.

And I’m guessing the Brisbane River is the wrong shade of brown to host rowing events.

Well, after seeing the massive cluster that the Tokyo games have been, covid delays aside (and they haven't even officially STARTED yet!), at least Brisbane gets a note on how to NOT do the games

This has turned out to be a disaster for Japan...

Also feel sorry for the olympians who've trained for years for this...

Also, I've only recently discover that under current contract with IOC, Japanese government is powerless to cancel the event, but and then I learned that's not completely true either. Surely a sovereign nation has the power to close its borders... maybe Japanese government just wish to shift the blame to IOC if things turned out badly?

Regardless of what's really going on legally, financially, politically..., I feel bad for them. Besides the athletes..., think of all the businesses investing for years hoping to make some money during the Olympics 2020...

In the future, when there's a global pandemic, IOC really should do the right thing to cancel and delay the game until WHO declares that the global pandemic is over. Of course if Tokyo got delayed for 4 years... all subsequent future hosts can expect the same delays by bumping everyone down 4 more years...

Must the show go on when there's a global pandemic?

There's so many moving pieces...tons of corporate sponsors, representatives for what 120+ countries? IOC, Japanese government, political motivations in the region etc. etc.

Oh and, NEWSFLASH, typhoon nearby now!

Watched some cycling today and it looked like they were on the Fuji racetrack for a bit.
