Wow - sounds like a great event.
Enjoy the car and hope that smile never leaves your face.
After my third or fourth try, I now have a pretty comfortable method of washing the car in the self-serve bays at the local car wash chain. It involves using almost all of the modes they have, but the foam brush only on the wheels and the black lower trim parts, a red sponge glove for any tough stuff, and a bunch of small towels to dry it off.
I should still get my garage faucet fixed so I can just do it at home, though.

Best 50 mile average is now 33.6 mpg. Might try for 400 miles on a tank.
That’s just wrong man!
I remember my 1990 1.5l 70HP Civic Hatchback was doing that kind of mpg #s…
Drove from Cincinnati to North Carolina to visit some friends on a long weekend trip.

As I see an increasing number of small paint chips and wheels that refuse to be fully cleaned, I understand why people end up paying so much to have professionals clean, re-finish, and protect these kinds of cars. I don't know what I'm going to do about it.
