Yup, even for Time Trials I generally buy a policy. I know more than one person that has received a prompt, fat check shortly after their bad day at the track.

Yeah, yeah, but you’re asking a financially constrained cheap dude to shell out more money to solve that dilemma?

That’s why I’d just admire that car from a safe distance!

I saw a guy who crashed his viper on Fontana speedway turn 1 wall...

If that were my car, even if I got a big fat check, I’d still cry!

I'm hosting a big trivia show next Friday, so I confirmed that I can get my old, big trivia gear into the trunk safely. I can't use any of my storage pieces, so it will be inconvenient to carry, but it does fit, and the car came with some fabric covers/tie-downs that should keep it all in place. I have a big piece of foam for my own piece of mind as well.

Speaking of hosting, I had a nice drive home from subbing at a show tonight. It just feels great to drive the car. Going through the gears, accelerating however fast I want, doddling around just above the speed limit, it all just feels great. I might take the show just for the drive.

The Bluetooth didn't want to participate after one of my stops today, but plugging in and switching to Android Auto/USB audio worked as a temporary fix. Deleting the connection on both devices and then reconnecting them will hopefully be more permanent.

Ive done enough track days that it would cover the cost of my car several times over.

My "normal" insurance is $1k a year.

It was like $400 for two drivers for the FoST at VIR for two days.

Random fact: there are a lot of mechanical sounds that come from the rear of the car, things adjusting and fluid flowing it seems, because of all the cooling and adjusting I guess. I accept/assume that all of it is normal.

Sounds interesting... I'm assuming that's the sound of your magnetic ride control system kicking in?

How quiet is your car... or how loud is this mechanical sound?

I can only hear wind buffeting and engine sounds in my S2000.

That's all electric, I think it's more likely to be cooling or lubricant stuff getting moved around.

It is not a quiet car inside, though.

That's really weird. What needs to be actively cooled or lubricated back there?

Suspensions actively compensating for something makes more sense...

Anyway, you're the only dude with the car. Please find out and report back to us! Inquiring minds need to know!
