Pokemon Go related?
In a vague way, yes. There was this online "game" called Neopets that was Pokémon-esque (more like digipets... I can't remember the Japanese name), and after several years of basically trouble-free use various predator types started using it to take advantage of mostly children. I'm sure it's all out on the internet if you want to read, but the problems ran from money scams to things potentially far far worse. Including luring kids out of their homes.
Nevermind. I don't want to talk about this anymore.

Speaking seriously, I see your underlying premise and agree with you almost fully in that regard. I also think that result is pretty distant from what we're talking about here.
Novi is saying a kid can have his Christmas ruined by receiving a $500 premium game console and being forced to wait a few hours to actually play with it, an avoidable condition if the parents have even a basic understanding of what modern game consoles require.
I think that if that genuinely ruins a kids entire Christmas those kids and parents deserve each other making the whole argument moot anyway.
People striving for perfection are guaranteed to be disappointed.
All I'm saying is that parents can prevent tears by buying a Switch instead.
It's got that game with that guy Zelda on it, you know?
So... I enjoy my X1X, anyone else?
I dunno. I've never owned an XBox of any kind.
