    Glenmorangie Lasanta.

Bill would not let me put a sliver of ice in it, but insisted on only an eye-dropper of water. Even gave me a small shot with the ice and my real shot with the tiny drop of water.

    That was after pints of

    Death Valley IPA
    Iron Spike Copper Ale
    and
    Hacker-Pschorr Maibock

I tried Miller High Life, "The Champagne of Beers." for the first time tonight.

Tomorrow, first drink since early Feb. Roederer Brut and a bunch of Gibbston Valley stuff. Probably also some Tsingtao.

Sam Adams Rebel Rouser 2x IPA is some good shit, especially when backed with Jim Beam Devil's Cut.

Tried out some Coney Island Hard Ginger Ale. Never really been into the hard sodas, but it's pretty good and refreshing, and tastes more like ginger ale than Not Your Father's Root Beer tastes like root beer. Still not as good as Jack and Ginger.

Pepsi has these new "1893" sodas, a cola and a ginger. The ginger goes GREAT with Jameson. Like, spot on.

Discovered I had a bottle of Dr. Thirsty's No. 4 Blonde from Wychwood, the Hobgoblin people.

Despite its description as citrus and floral, it seems like maybe this brewery doesn't really know much about adding junct to beer, and it's actually very clean.

    Ah actually found.

A shimmering blonde concoction of fruits.
This unpasteurised beer provides instant refreshment
    with an insanely fragrant aroma.
Brewed & bottled in the UK.

So, as I say, I was pleasantly relieved that that description was not so accurate, and it really tasted like beer. Unlike some of those North American craft-brewed usually attributed as Belgian-style things, usually with "Saison" in their name. When I see "Saison" I now read "Full of junk which isn't beer".

I suppose I forgot to explain that this bottle came as part of a Christmas promotional 4-pack from Wychwood. Otherwise their description might have put me off buying it.

And despite other reviews, my bottle poured a near-amber blonde colour.
