Lots of RR/MR cars have parking brake handle there. The Delorean was like that.
^ That's news to me, but it makes sense given all the stuff that would be in the way in an MR car.

Huh, I wonder if that '51 Plymouth is the one my dad owned in college. He bought it with a seized motor from my uncle's brother, bought a new one from a local salvage yard for $40, drove it for a few years and then sold it to a friend that was moving to Colo Springs in like 1974 because he needed the cargo capacity.
