I'd take the Berkley for the use of an engine from a 749. Those things need a lot of maintenance with timing belts.

That Berkeley is pretty darned awesome - I had no idea it existed. Great idea for a bike engine, but it looks like it needs a lot of work.

Drive wheels were part of our discussion, because we're really not sure what the best way to get power from engine to wheels is.
Also mixed on whether it's "better" to have his dad "help" (as in, do it all) build a frame for it, or try and mount it in an existing car. Lots of questions, we have no idea what we're doing. What could possibly go wrong?
The various bike-engined Sevens should provide some thinking material for routing the power.
