It's Colorado, so I wouldn't rule it out completely, but the guy said "No dumb offers," which makes me think he's edgier than your average Coloradan.

CL is here and now - it's often even a challenge getting people to hold stuff for a day!

I was able to get something off CL despite being the fourth or fifth interested party because everyone else wanted to lowball his already good price and wait several days to do it. I offered asking price in cash that afternoon and got it.

I hate that. Email says, "Hey, will you take 60% of your asking price?" and I cave because it's something I don't need and maybe this guy does, and then inevitable second email: "Thanks, I will pick it up next week!" No, no you won't. This isn't JC Penny. There is no layaway.

I sort of wish this guy was asking an obscene price because then there'd be a good chance the car would hang around. $4500 is damn fair, it'll go fast.
