From what I gather, the official reason that she was fired is because used the image of her giving the finger to the president her profile picture on various social media accounts. She maintains that they are her personal accounts and that she doesn't mention where she works anywhere on them, but she also lives in an at-will state, so they can basically fire her if they feel like it.

Pretty sure that would be grounds for unfair dismissal here, but apparently in Virginia you can fire anyone for any reason.

You can here in California, too. There are certain protected reasons why you can't (age, gender, sexual orientation, race...basically any protected class), but in at-will states it's very easy to fire someone for very little reason.

Dockless bikeshare has come to LA, which I'm hoping one day means I'll be able to take a bike between my home and the train station (ain't no way I'm locking up one of my own bikes at the racks outside the train station all day). Of course, for some reason they dropped off all of the bikes in one spot, which just happens to be the single farthest spot from me that's still technically in the city of Los Angeles :/

Got a flat not too long ago. Turns out that the bead on my Schwalbe tires somehow came through the inside sidewall of the tire and punctured the tube. Tire's useless at this point.
Bought new tires and new tubes, somehow broke a Pedro's tire lever while taking off the Schwalbes. Those things have been indestructible as far as I can tell, but snapped the end right off.
Got yet another flat on the new tires. So I took the other bike. Got to my destination, and when I went to unlock the bike, saw that its rear tire had the tread separating from the belt underneath.
I know it's coincidental, but goddamn is it annoying when it feels like you can't go for more than a couple of rides without having to deal with yet another flat.

Conti Gatorskins have never failed me... or Lori. We used them on three bikes.

They failed me so often I swore off of them :/
Also, they're a fucking nightmare to mount.
