Those un-taped bars remind me of a T-1000 mid-morph.
The bar end shifters were a lot better for the triple, but they also hit me in the knees all the time, so...
New to me, and possibly interesting to others: https://www.bikegeocalc.com/
Would be glad to discuss that further, but I always get the impression I'm the biggest n00b at this forum when it comes to bikes, so I'll assume it needs no explanation.
That's way out of my league
While that is pretty neat, I can't make sense of it either.
One use of that site would be when web-surfing new bikes (and especially frames) to compare them to a bike you already own that fits.
It would be simple enough to measure one's bike(s) and enter all the dimensions, and save it (or them) for future reference.
Then, when something like this comes along...
Surly Cross Check frame/fork - $350
The seller states that's a 60cm bike. It might be a bit too large for me, but I obviously can't test-ride it. But I could go here and scroll down to the 60cm frame measurements, enter them, and compare it to what I'm riding now to find out if it's even worth considering.

A time-wasting gimmick? Maybe. But it's interesting to me.
We've hired three new people at work and there's talk of adding another in June, so my previously awesome setup for keeping a bike in my office (lots of room and an exterior door) is changing. I don't think I can take my "lunch bike" back to the office for the forseeable future, so I have six - no, seven bikes in my garage at home right now and that's too damn many.
Some live on hooks on the ceiling, but starting around now in the spring until it gets cold in the fall, we'll have at least two (for the kids) and probably four bikes (for my wife and me) down on the garage floor, ready to ride. I'd like to get rid of at least two or perhaps all three of my bikes and buy (or build) one really good bike to do it all. Like this, maybe: http://blackmtncycles.com/frames/cross-frames/
It's fun to think about, anyway.
