Some different terrain for me: cycling at the Pacific ocean!

We only had time for one very short ride there, unfortunately. I rented a beach cruiser but my son opted for this cool tricycle, equipped with a coaster brake in the back and a drum brake in front.

That was near the famous Del Perro Pier in lovely Los Santos, California.

A big thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Servo for meeting us for dinner on Friday night. It was a great finale to a superb vacation. We had some really good Mexican food and very enjoyable company in one of their usual hangouts on our last night in town.

Today I'm back at work and not happy about that at all.

gears.cgi produces some of its own output, and then also uses gears.html as a template for the rest of its output.

Gee. This feels like it is going to be like when geocities took away their free pages (and for a while webring hosted scraped copies, but then they got tired of them too...).

We had a great time meeting you and your family, thanks for taking time out of your vacation to meet up! I found the Drive By Truckers on Amazon Prime Music, now I just need to find the time to listen to it

No loss if you don't like them, but I enjoy their mixture of classic/southern rock, lots of guitars, and a huge catalog of songs from hard rockin' arena rockers to quieter acoustic stories. They're not shy about political topics, either.

A line from one of their songs gives an idea of the kinds of tales they tell:

"Stories of corruption, crime and killing, yes it's true
Greed and fixed elections, guns and drugs and whores and booze"

Come to think of it, that's a typical day's reading in the Pit Stop.

Good thing he's got disc brakes for stopping power. I heard he's Everesting again towing it!
