    And discovers a horrid face...

    Gives kudos

Wonders why they didn't have a long course to start with (But I guess many smallish laps is what defines a "Revolve" event?)

So that was MTB? No, it says the Masi.

Congratulations. It sounds more daunting to have been doing fairly small (how small) laps right from the start.

15mph? You could probably consider Randonneuring (Audax).

    Perth-Albany-Perth.

    Great Southern Randonnée

Hey! They have a "Revolve 24" around Brands Hatch!

Oh. I see. The Australian Revolve 24 is on "The Bend" Grand Prix track. A circuit so new the maps used by Strava don't even know about it! The Bend? Tailem Bend, one hour east of Adelaide. "The Bend Motorsport Park", in Tailem Bend, one hour east of Adelaide, affectionally known simply as "The Bend".

The section(?) of the circuit you used is reminiscent to me of the pre-1988 Kyalami Circuit.

While surfing strava I also found...

The reason for the short track was that there was so much sand blowing at the start. It was awful actually - stung really badly and my shoes filled up with sand. They got it under control with a small fleet of water-pooping trucks which would not have been possible on the full 7.7km course, so I think the organisers made the correct decision. So yeah, it was a road race but we were all covered in dirt. I even got the mechanic to clean my drivetrain at about the 4 hour mark just because.

I'm thinking of doing a write-up on the whole experience actually because it was a hell of a thing, so watch this space.

Congrats on yet more amazing accomplishments. G'day.

(and to Cam, too, who is apparently bursting out of his clothing like the Hulk, in another thread)

Interesting the real-world conditions for this event. (understatement)
I had wondered how you managed to get so dirty.
The storm finished before the finish? The picture (at the height of the storm?) looks like the book cover for some sci-fi novel set on Mars. Bicyclists of Mars?

How long is the short circuit? 1961 to 1987 Kyalami was 4.1 km.

Ugh. It's difficult not to at least exhale through your mouth when cycling energetically.
