    50 km/h = 31.1 mph.

Yeah, I guess I did. That isn't unusual on a road bike, is it? I hit 56.5 / 35.1 mph on this ride.

Maybe it's time for me to turn pro.

My personal land speed bicycle world record is 82.35. I think I've mentioned before that I didn't realise how fast I was going at the time ... thankfully.

82.35 km/hr? Getting past about 65mph runs into some serious natural resistance, I believe.

Yeah, kmh. It was on that big ride I did in 2015 when I really started getting into riding, down the other side of Mt Hotham. Very wide, straight, smooth road and loosely amongst a bunch of other guys doing the same speed

Once, in my really young days, I was bombing a big hill near where I lived. A motorcycle passed me and the rider yelled, "You're doing about 75!" (km/h.)

Finally overcame all my excuses last Sunday. There had been a couple of very hot weekends preceding, but this weekend was more moderate.

    Riding after 7 months off.

A problem is I could not efficiently remember all the little things I do for preparation and wind-down.

Worst thing is I forgot to slide my actual bicycle computer into its mount, and it bounced off across the road from https://www.facebook.com/VanHolstAutomotive/ and it took me several minutes to search for it. It was still working and seemed to record distance (and show reasonable heart rate) for the rest of the trip. Since I was walking around, I think Strava did not autopause for any of that, and it counted as riding time.

The core of my ride as evidenced by my personal Strava segment was only my 3rd slowest ever. However, I recall those other two were done on coldish very windy days, whereas last Sunday was almost perfect in temperature with only a very slight breeze building.

You probably can't see the following segment?

Oh well, my first ride in 7 months.

Same here. But any ride is a good ride, right?
