The wife and I rode 27 km yesterday, to The National Mall and back. It was perfect weather and a pleasant ride. Lots of people out though. We had to be mindful of the pedestrians and selfish cyclists that don't give a shit about other people or laws.

As of January 2, 2024, my foldie became somewhat superfluous. I really had thought there would be some rides in the spring.

I'm very sorry to hear this, SportWagon, if my reading between the lines is accurate (and I hope it's not).

We rode about 20km today, along the Mt. Vernon Trail, south of town. Lots of people out in Old Town Alexandria today.

I rode all the way to work today for the first time since ... last July apparently.
Felt kinda weak coming down the hill - had to push to get to 55 instead of just coming down at 60 (the speed limit), which meant I was holding the car behind me up.
The ride home is going to be interesting. 300m of elevation, including about 200m of 20% gradient. Ugh.

Keep up the good work! I trust you survived the climb home.

Yep. Was going as slow as 4km/h on the steep part of the main climb.
