Ran another Skippy race at Hockenheim.
Started 15th due to my own stuff up in qualifying.
Got up to 10th at the hairpin, then spun at the little L/H kink after due to too much throttle on cold tyres.
Dropped back to 15th and started my charge.
I must have got into a split with a great bunch as they were all really clean when I was attempting to pass, it was a real eye opener.
Eventually made my way to 6th after a 5 or so lap battle with 6th place. Who let me through after he'd made a mistake.
It'd be great if all races were like this.

I still get nervous looking through the start list and finding guys with an Irating of less than 1000.

I had a Class C Fixed oval race yesterday and it was very intense. A lap 20-ish caution sent all the leaders in for tyres, which set the race up to be among the most amazing racing Iíve ever seen online.

Picture a group of ten trucks being super aggressive but also clean at the same time. Very few collisions. Our tyres were fresh enough to not have to worry about degradation, but you still required a bit of care to make sure you have enough rubber for the last few laps.

I waited and made my run a half-dozen laps from the end, and still only managed P6 when all the other drivers put the hammer down. Maybe next time I could make my run earlier and put a bit more effort into blocking.

Dang, oval racing is different to from circuit racing. Hooo boy.

Heh, I sign in pretty rarely because I always get my ass handed to me, get frustrated, and then stop for a while. I figure I'll try again when the new wheelbase shows up.

Watch as I bring the car up from 33rd on the grid to 8th before handing off to my bro. We ultimately finished 17th after being punted out of 13th or so.
