I've seen Machine Head a couple of times. Once was one of the best concerts I've been to, the other was pretty disappointing.

acket.
Sorry to hear that.
On a brighter note, I'm pleased to report that Maiden still kills more than any band that has ever killed.
Unfortunately my phone took potato pics. Oh well. Still a bucketlist item checked off for me.
About a week ago, while I was out in the field (wilderness camping for 10 ten days, with oddly great cellphone service) my friend texted me a few pictures from his seats at the Maiden show in Kansas City with some reminiscences about driving around and listening to Aces High and how he wished I was there, rather than digging square holes. I responded withWON'T YOU HIKE

Maiden is fucking sick. I've seen them twice, one of their shows was better than the other but that's because one of them focused solely on old back catalogue stuff.
After all these years they still play every show as if it's their first. That's mighty impressive. I love them dearly.
I had to skip a Maiden concert last year due to work. But given that half the setlist was off The Book of Souls I wasn't TOO fussed.
I also had to skip Megadeth this year due to Dragonboat, as did 2 team members. We spent the whole evening reminding everyone else that we weren't at the Megadeth concert...
Just to piss people off...
Seeing iron maiden twice, I'd done that by 1984.
Also seen them twice on consecutive nights (twice by twice!)
Put on a good show for me every single time.
