Easier to replace than remove in the first place, in my experience. Worst part will be laying in the slush to do it!

Whoomah!
Minus the slush, are they that much of a pain in the ass to swap out?
Not really--definitely pull the wheel first, then you can get to everything with ease.

I plan on waiting until spring to do it. I've checked the price for the part and all of the required hardware(sold separately).
A few days ago I started noticing an off and on metal on metal sound from my brakes. As time went on I was able to isolate it to the LF brake.
Turns out the sound I was hearing was the caliper starting to hang up. Not good. I found a place that was open on Saturdays. They were able to save the LF caliper, replaced both pads and rotors(on both sides) and bled/refilled threrake system.
At least it wasn't your ABS valve body like mine spent $2600 fixing it. Dealer may not be selling any cars but they're making enough on service to keep the light on.
I had both front and back done three years ago at 47k. Just turned 77k this morning and the fronts were toast but the rears are still excellent. Great thing is it will be paid off in the next few months and as it gets to 100k I'll plan on front brakes again in addition to a tune up and timing belt/water pump.
XHawkeye, how many miles are on yours?
90k
As of today she's officially paid off.
