Believe me, I've thought how nice it would be to have one on the Milan some mornings, but the next thought that immediately pops into my head is "Oh well, too bad it's impossible to add circuits into the steering wheel."

Because we have people that know odd information.

And there are quite a few people that retrofit E39, X3, X5 heated wheels by using the clocksprings, etc on E36es. I just don't want to go to a larger wheel, and lose the thumb rests. I was hoping that there might be something out there that I wasn't aware of. Guess not.

I didn't do the swap though. It worked after I owned it. I am plenty confident in my abilities.

I just wish someone would make decent aftermarket wheels for airbag equipped cars. The one thing I don't like about my Challenger is the ugly "DaimlerChrysler" steering wheel. I wanted to snag a 2012+ SRT8 wheel, but apparently they completely changed the steering column in 2011 and they don't swap.

I wouldn't be surprised if that's why there isn't an aftermarket for those kinds of things, so much stuff can and does change, and if you mess with anything airbag-related, and something goes wrong, you're in trouble. Deploys early, injures the driver, hell if the driver is injured during a wreck where it deploys, and they would have been injured anyway, someone is going to come after you.
Get that weak shit off my track
