That's a different city entirely. Kansas City Proper is only in Missouri and stops at State Line Road/Missouri river.

The Chiefs and Royals play at Truman Sports Complex which is roughly 9 miles from the Missouri/Kansas Border.

    Therefore, not in Kansas.

Different Cities, as pointed out by your own link. Not the same city. The Kansas City Royals and Chiefs play in KCMO, Sporting KC is from KCK. You can attempt to continue to generalize, but nobody in their right mind from the Missouri side of the greater metropolitan area claims KCK until the last 15 years. Which is only done because the racetrack, Sporting KC (formerly the Wizards) played in Arrowhead, and a ton of shopping centers popped up around the track.

Given that Kansas has no NFL team, I have to think that there's a decent amount of Chiefs fans in Kansas, at least the Eastern part of it, so Jason's comment of "Everyone that doesn't live in bumfuck Kansas" would stand with the addition of "and Missouri."
