Possible rumor that the US will potentially get Civic 5-drs in 2016, maybe.

Whoomah!
I don't mind the wagon too much, except for the giant rear fender flares.
But I must respectfully disagree about the ugliness of Honda wagons.

"Americans traditionally don't like hatchbacks" + "The hatchback models often sell at a higher price point" = :boggle:
@harrismonkey If I owned a new Civic Type R and someone said: "that car REALLY suits you." Yes, I'd find that difficult to handle.

We've finally driven it. Does the new #Honda Civic #TypeR deliver? Find out here. http://www.evo.co.uk/honda/civic-type-r …
Verdict:
Some of the old Type R character has been lost, but this new version is the best quick Civic yet
For: Dynamics, performance, engaging to drive
Against: Outlandish styling won’t suit all tastes
Wonder if we'll ever get the old Honda back...
Sadly, I doubt it. I was all for buying the new Type R until I saw what they expected me to drive! I'd feel complete fool being seen in that thing! I'm sure it's amazing to drive but I just couldn't contemplate having it on my drive.

Um....no. This thing looks massive. I mean, props for going for the funky notchback route, but this thing looks massive compared to even the existing Civic sedan. And that grill makes Acuras look beautiful.

Fugly front to back. I agree with the article that it has some very Mazda-esque attributes to it, but I am reminded of the mid '00s Hyundais that were supposed to evoke something else and failed miserably. This thing looks like a police sketch of a Mazda6.
I don't mind it. But I prefer the precious gen JDM model. Actually, all JDM models FTW.
That looks like an Accord. Whatever happened to small, light, sporty, practical Honda?
