    Found a few random pics I took at the 1981 Belgian GP, 37 years ago today... Here's the Alfa of @MarioAndretti:



    My pic of John Watson's @McLarenF1 MP4 at Zolder in 1981, on only its third appearance - he finished seventh. Designer John Barnard keeping an eye on things...:



    No sign of @emmofittipaldi but here are the F8Cs he was running for Chico Serra and Keke Rosberg. Sponsorship was a bit hit and miss in 1981...

    1970 24 Hours of Daytona - Jacky Ickx and Mario Andretti relaxing before the race. It marked the first appearance of the Porsche 917K that dominated for the next 2 seasons and broke the distance record for this race by 190 miles, while only the #28 Ferrari finished in 3rd.

    Going back to the "...8" years at Le Mans: 1958 was a good one, even if wet... The masters of durability, Phil Hill and Olivier Gendebien, won that race: it was the first one for the Testarossa!
