    Manufacturers? 1 + 1 + 5 = 7 (It would have been 9 - Manufacturers' Championships didn't start been issued till 1968 - if Mercedes in 1954 and, especially, 1955 would be counted).
    Drivers? 2 + 1 + 7 = 10

    I don't think Fangio's should add towards that count. Wasn't his Mercedes team totally based in the FDR?

    The team rooted in Tyrrell's is mainly working out of Brackley, right?

    What that has to do with anything? It's not like VW was any less VW when it was building cars for the Fuhrer and the Third Reich.
    That's like saying Auto Union wins were not Audi wins. Or Alfa Romeo's... if FCA did the final choice and killed Sauber altogether and brought entirely the much more heritage filled name as a full fledged manufacturer team.
