May 8th 1982, Zolder circuit. Gilles Villeneuve approaches what is now known as the Villeneuve chicane. In less than 15 seconds he will have his fatal accident. This photo is, I believe, the last photo of Gilles in action. His eyes are piercing and in total concentration. RIP.
