I do miss the IL-2 "guns hot" races.... you definitely didn't want to be in the lead.

So development is being kinda scaled back due to "health concerns". I assume that means beer virus.
Anyway, they did put out some crazy screenshots...

So, ED (Makers of DCS) have made ALL of their content free for the next month! And if you decide to purchase, nearly everything is 50% off.

I saw that.
I want to try it all. I really, really want to.
But I’m into racing sims and have enough equipment and time and knowledge to do those games justice.
If I’m going to play DCS I want to do it properly. A mouse/kb or a friggin Xbox controller will not be enough to sate me.
So I will respectfully leave it alone and not try it, lest it end up costing me more thousands of dollars

Good call
It is intense, kinda like iRacing dedication to enjoy it.

Yep. Just learning to fly one aircraft would be as tough as getting a rating in real life. I'd be doing it from scratch given that I have no flying background.
Thankfully with racing sims I've been brought up with motorsport my whole life so I know what's what.

FS 2020 comes out August 18 on PC.
There are three tiers:
Tier 1 (standard edition) is the cheapo version which is also available on Game Pass for PC.
Tier 2 and 3 (deluxe edition and premium deluxe edition) cost extra. They will contain more hand-built airports than the standard edition and more aircraft.

When I think how I've spent more than the difference between the Standard and Top Tier on a SINGLE aircraft for X-Plane, I'd say it's an Excellent Value.
