I've been using the same Galaxy Tab S2 since 2016 and have loved it. Unfortunately, they stopped sending Android updates, and many newer apps won't run on it. So Ash bought me a new tablet for my birthday, one that I can use in my flight training. Pretty excited about that. It's a Galaxy Tab A7 Lite that I'll plug a Google Fi data-only sim into. Should be a good time.

Yeah, that's the other bad part. My S9 is stuck on a Jan 2022 update.

I just found out that Settings -> System -> Gestures -> Press & hold power button will let you make the power button act like a power button again instead of trying to bring up the Google assistant.

I am so happy about this.

A couple of weeks ago I bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE for to use Rouvy etc with my Elite Direto XR-T.

I had planned to use an older tablet, but if you web search you can find that the Rouvy app requires 3GB RAM. I would have splurged for the even higher capacity version, but it wasn't in stock, and I wanted to get started testing Rouvy more before the trainer arrived. (Though it does work on my Moto G Play phone, too, but that would be hard to read).

Created a cardboard stand, modified from web search results. Light project board is strong enough for most of it, just needing reinforcing at the base and front feet/holders.

I would be so into that if it wasn't $1800. I *want* a 7-8" Google tablet that I can easily carry around, but I don't want it *that* bad.

The Chinese-brand folding phones are great and cheaper, but I am going to wait for another year or two before I swap to a folder.

If some asshole hadn't stolen my S21 Ultra I would have probably swapped next year. Instead I am "stuck" with this S23 Ultra.

I saw multiple reviewers compare the Pixel Fold to the Oppo Find N, but available in America and with better cameras and software. I honestly was excited to get it during the announcement, and was trying to decide where to pre-order, not if, but then I pulled up a size comparison between the unfolded inner screen and my current phone. It's a big jump, but it just felt crazy that I was going to pay $2000 with tax and a new case for it. Why? When will I use it and not my laptop or Switch?
