    The battery life is horrendous on the secondhand Nexus5 I use as a backup phone.

    If the old school navigation apps/units weren't dead yet, they certainly are now.

    Yes and no. My Garmin still does a better job of knowing what some of the freeways and exit names are. I'm in the habit of truth-checking Google directions now after getting bitten a couple times.

    I just ordered a Note 4 to replace my Note 2....and I'm going to buy a Samsung Galaxy VR for it next, just because I want one.

    I want all sorts of stuff, but more and more often I will hold off buying stuff unless something is really, REALLY going to make my life much better.
