So it seems I now own this instead.

"sold" (actually gave away, with probably being paid at some stage in the future) the Schitz. So now I'm rally car, and tow car/daily.

Probably going to get a tow dolly built, so that I can tow the rally car around, without having to buy a new house, such that I have room for an actual car trailer (no space without major earthworks).

The probably tow dolly turned into an actual tow dolly.

Never thought I'd say it ... but this new Turtle ceramic hybrid product is the serious business.

I've been using Mother's stuff (sometimes Meguires) for decades, and I've found anything Turtle I've used to be decidedly average.

    This has all just changed.

Okay, so apparently uploading photos is now something that doesn't work most of the time.

Oh, and also, the daily got a personalised plate.

After being good for almost a year, I bought another stupid car.

    2008 Evo X, 5 speed manual.

Haven't driven it much yet, because the tyres that it arrived on are well and truly dried out and knackered. So I haven't really given it a boosting yet. Seems brisk.

Has some really nice hard water marks on the paint, so getting rid of those will be a part of today's task list.

    Tyres ordered.

Will need to replace the Japanese headunit with something useful.

Apparently this is good enough to pass roadworthy.

    I did not agree.

Yup, given that it's a new import into NZ, theory says, those tyres passed the most rigorous requirements.

I strongly suspected that the tyres were going to be garbage when the car showed up, as I have some useful access to that sort of inspection information. So at least I knew to take a good look at them, rather than just driving the car immediately.

What are the new tires? I don't recognize the tread pattern.
