    Those who know me well know I was never a fan of him but I of course remember that day well. I think this is a good read today though for those who want a look back.

    I actually learned a bit of trivia from it that I wasn't aware of before, namely that Max the Axe was at the wheel of the safety car back then. I have always assumed that they were senior, semi-retired or retired drivers behind the wheel.

    I too was never a big fan, thought he was a self-entitled douche, but one cannot deny the skill he had, and what he did for Brazil off the track.

    Greg Moore's death hit me way, way harder, as a hero of mine, but this one, like Earnhardt's death, was much more bizarre and weird feeling, like you fell into an alternate dimension.

    On a side note, Nigel Stepney was killed in an accident today. Nigel is probably most famous now for being involved with 'Spy-gate' back in 2007 with Ferrari and McLaren.
