TSG, somebody HAS built up an eBay turbocharged junkyard 2V:
Low-Buck Turbo Ford - 592HP 4.6L 2V Motor For $2,298
Of course at this power level, the 2V is gonna collapse.

Which gives you a perfect excuse for an LS swap
Get that weak shit off my track
Whoops, talking out my ass again -- from what I've read, common consensus is that the 2V internals can't handle beyond 450ish crank HP.
But apparently the powdered metal connecting rods in most truck LS's (even the little 4.8L) can handle 700 to 900 horse or even more boosted horsepower. But they still tore the LS down to put in beefier gaskets and studs so it's not like it's truly "bonestock".

Very cool -- you drive (or have driven) for a living, when was your last speeding ticket and/or accident, Rich?
FWIW, Rich's rates are only about $10/month more than I paid through SF for my Mazdaspeed3 when I lived in a higher-theft-rate neighborhood, as opposed to my current area, which is the lowest-crime zip code in Chicago. A combination of that and a garage dropped my motorcycle insurance by 40%
That was with no tickets since college, and my last claim being hail damage from ~2010, not to mention the MS3 always had lower rates than the quotes I got on similar cars like the GTI and WRX.
That, and I'm guessing that Mustangs are more likely to be spun into telephone poles/trees/car show crowds/etc.
