Not in 2019, in the one his lawyer fumbled recently. The parents' lawyers alerted the FBI and it was apparently what YW said, people trying to set him up.

Don't disagree with the thoughts on Griner, but mostly annoyed that lots of people here are decrying her sentence to be outrageous but ignoring a lot of people that the US has also locked up for many years on pretty minor drug charges.

And Mario, pretty sure the "child porn" thing is a 3 year old article that resurfaced and is being passed around as though it's new again. A lot of the disinformation beat people I follow have been calling that out.

Also getting a shitton of differing information about Texas rules about capping punitive judgments. Some are saying they're limited to $750K. Some are saying they're limited to 2 x compensatory + $750k (so $8.95M by my math). Even weirder, you'd think if this was the rule then the judge would have limited the judgment to that rather than leave this for an appeal to cap the judgment and waste everyone's time, so based on that I think it's not as clear cut as the Twitter-sphere is saying.

I mean, I guess it's possible, but given how irritated she seems to be with him and his lawyers, I'd think she'd shoot for the maximum that she knew wouldn't get reduced on appeal rather than give him a chance to weasel out of it.

At least there are two more to go, and one I hear should expect significant more compensatory damages as the plaintiffs are claiming they had to sell their home and move twice to get away from death threats.

Jones is so into free speech that he even has a company called Free Speech Systems to handle all of the free speech that he was generating. Evidently, having so much free speech requires extra help just to manage the endless geysers of free speech that were being shot forth by this man’s enormously virile brain.

By god, imagine if he had a platform to enable all this free speech without any fear of retribution or consequences or critical assessment. The freeness of his speech could only wash over the rest of us and allow so much freedom that no bad thing would ever happen ever again in the history of the world.

I have a better penalty for him, but won't say it here.
