They only do it for the money, it seems fair they get monetary penalties.

I am all for free speech, but free speech shouldn’t be completely free from any consequences though. If it does measurable harm, then penalties definitely should apply!

Why would they flip? I'm genuinely curious. Dems have a ton of momentum going into the mid-terms which almost never happens. People are pissed at the SCOTUS decisions.

That is definitely a given, that's part of the GOP playbook now.

Earlier this year with gas prices it sounded like a given that the GOP was at least going to take over the senate, but now it sounds like it's close enough that nobody's exactly sure how it's going to go. I think there's speculation that the Dobbs decision overturning Roe v. Wade is bringing out some backlash, and after the shock result in Kansas, I think we're back in uncharted territory.

And Mario, pretty sure the "child porn" thing is a 3 year old article that resurfaced and is being passed around as though it's new again. A lot of the disinformation beat people I follow have been calling that out.
And we won't even mention the selective application of policing, and prosecution, and imprisonment on said minor drug charges.

A lot of women and moderates who wouldn't normally vote Democratic Party are gonna be voting for them just on that. Quite a few Republican women too.

Republicans really fucked it up with that move.

Now the Democrats just have to constantly hammer the "Republicans voted against capping insulin pricing" for the rest of the year and they should be ok. That one was a slam dunk. Which bill was the one they were high fiving each other for blocking?
