I'm not familiar enough with all the politics to make much of a judgment, but after just being in Barcelona and loving that city, the scenes I'm seeing today from their independence referendum and the Spanish police cracking down are breaking my heart.

In other news...during a peaceful protest in St. Louis last night...the police decided to arrest the journalists covering the protest (along with lots of protestors and also legal counsel from what I understand)
Note: the protestors were blocking a road which I disagree with. They can use civil disobedience, but blocking a road isn't the way to do it.
The press is supposed to be immune from arrest if they are only covering the action and not being involved...apparently the St. Louis police don't care.
