How long before the polls close and we start seeing some results?
6 am Greenwich. I think.
they might have to wait for polling stations on the Best Coast to close before they can start reporting numbers.

acket.
It's like the calm before the storm right now.
Yeah how long from now?
Please be kind to your antipodean friends who live in different time zones.
I think some of the eastern timezone states close their polls at 7pm (eastern standard time), which is a little over 3 hours from now (14:45 CST). There will probably be something resembling results not too long after that from the states which are not really in play. Don't expect anything like answers from Pennsylvania or Florida before tomorrow morning unless it's a complete blow-out.

This is like waiting on the OJ verdict.
No problem. It honestly didn't occur to me to just figure out your timezone and do the math - I am completely brainfried after spending the day bouncing between teaching students (many of whom are freaking out because its their first presidential election) and doomscrolling. I actually had to check my math twice to make sure it made sense.
That "maybe" is probably going to be doing *a lot* of work.
Anyway, I'm going to get drunk now.
