acket.
They put out a puzzle on Friday to let people try to figure out what the next pack will be, but they generally only a) let out one of the songs and b) don't release DLC until Tuesday. I know Steam usually picks up the latest pack at 10AM Pacific (I think that's 18:00:00 UTC) on Tuesday, so it should be out at least midday for you on the 19th.
12/19 DLC - 10 songs by Johnny Cash
- Big River (Capo required for rhythm)
- Folsom Prison Blues
- Give My Love To Rose (Capo required for lead/rhythm)
- Hey Porter
- Jackson
- Cry! Cry! Cry!
- Get Rhythm (Capo required for rhythm)
- I Walk the Line (Capo required for rhythm, though it looks like there's a capo-less alt. rhythm)
- Ring of Fire
- Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down (Capo required for lead/rhythm)
All songs E Standard. Oddly, it's coming out as both a 10 pack (for $21.99), but you can also buy them as two separate 5-packs for $11.99 each.
Rooster is turning out to be one of those songs that's pretty easy to play, sounds good in the game with their tuning, and makes me feel like I'm playing the actual song correctly.
Too bad my wife hates that song.
And we're back. Starting the year off with six songs from Paramore.
- Ain't it Fun (Lead/Rhythm Drop D, Bass C# Standard)
- Brick by Boring Brick (Lead/Rhythm E Standard, Bass C# Standard)
- crushcrushcrush (Lead/Rhythm Eb Drop Db, Bass C# Standard)
- The Only Exception (Lead/Bass E Standard, Rhythm EADGBD#)
- Pressure (Everything Drop D)
- Still Into You (Lead/Rhythm Drop D, Bass C# Standard)
1/16 DLC - Five songs from Green Day
- Boulevard of Broken Dreams (Alt. Rhythm requires Capo)
- Holiday
- Jesus of Suburbia
- Know Your Enemy
- Welcome to Paradise (Eb Standard)
All songs E standard unless otherwise noted. Picked up a couple from Paramore since they were catchy and I knew them from Rock Band. They're easy enough to play, which is nice, but that is a seriously one-note band. Every song has the same theme, it's like a down-tuned teenage romance novel.
1/23 DLC - 3 songs by Mumford & Sons. Fun fact, Mumford & Sons actually only have 1.37 actual songs.
- The Cave (Rhythm Open D, Alt. Rhythm Open E)
- I Will Wait (Lead Req. Capo, Rhythm Open Db/C#)
- Little Lion Man (Lead EADGDB Capo Req, Rhythm CACGCE Capo Req.)
Crazy tunings. If I didn't mention a tuning, it's E Standard.
1/30 DLC - 3 songs from the 70s
- Jethro Tull - Aqualung (Rhythm Capo Req.)
- Golden Earring - Radar Love
- Grand Funk Railroad - We're an American Band
All songs E Standard. Always fun to have a representative of the weird 70s->80s obsession with radar.
2/6 DLC - 4 songs from Lady Gaga
- Bad Romance
- Paparazzi
- Poker Face
- You And I (Bass Drop D)
All songs E Standard except You And I, which has the bass at Drop D.
Lady Gaga seems like a good DLC for Rock Band (my wife likes singing her songs), but I can't imagine the guitar parts will be that great.
