Ah, that makes more sense than my optimistic idea.

Wouldn't it be even better than to just license like everything, since CustomsForge removes CDLC when there is official. Might as well cash in, rather than get mad.

That's definitely the way I'd think about it. I'd love to have some official stuff, as some of the CDLC of their songs is questionable.

9/24 DLC - One song from Dragonforce

    • Highway to Oblivion (E standard, +alt. Lead)

Just the one song this week. On the positive side, I believe it's also a brand new release for Dragonforce and their lead guitar player actually worked with the team to get it charted properly, which I gather almost never happens. Usually the songs are charted by watching live footage of the bands playing the songs.

On the negative side, it will probably be an exceedingly difficult song, so I don't see me bothering with it.

Hahah, of course the one time I win something on the Rocksmith live stream it's a copy of that song. Goddammit.

    10/8 DLC - Intermediate Exercises Vol 2

Same idea as before. BTW, you can basically do all these yourself if you buy the e-book from the same guy who's making these. Speed, Accuracy, and Technique for the Guitar.

e-book is $10, each of these exercises DLC is $5, so you can save yourself a few bucks if you aren't worried about having the game score you. On the plus side, it's definitely exposed my weakness at string skipping.

    Why not both?

    They should include the booklet.

Agreed, but don't mention that on /r/rocksmith or you'll end up in a multi-day flamewar accusing you of being Karl Marx.
