    I think good pop songs surround the singer with competent instrumentation. Avril Lavigne's Let Go is an example of clever production.

    I went and checked a couple of those Gaga songs.

    You were right, there's a lot of subtractive synthesis but not a lot of guitar.

    Yeah, I assume the bass is probably pretty fun and it's usually pretty fun to drum along to her songs on RB4, but I just don't hear a ton of guitar in Lady Gaga songs.

    Well, it's not challenging, but I have to admit it is kinda fun to play. It sorta switches between playing the synth parts or just following the vocals, but it does make for some pretty instantly recognizable stuff that's not hard to do.

    Just saw that the next band is The Cardigans. "My Favourite Game" being the one confirmed song so far. A) this totally ties into the Gran Turismo theme and B) I'm so fucking excited about Cardigans songs in this game. I hope I can actually play them.
