This is one of the most annoying... yet beautiful, emotional, funny and powerful covers I have ever heard. Fascinating.

This just came up on classicdeepcuts.com. I've never heard this version. It sounds like it belongs in a Tarantino movie.

Theme from the movie Deep Water, but almost good enough to be a porno song. Or at least the next Fifty Shades movie as a consolation.

    Addictive song with great lyrics.

Edit - link to song ---> BANKS - Before I Ever Met You

YouTube videos don't seem to show up anymore on the mobile version of the forum. It's all blank spaces in everyone's posts.

Zoloft was mentioned elsewhere in The Pit Stop recently. Like so many other things, the Drive-By Truckers have a song about that.

Submitted with respect and in good humor but mostly because it's a footstompin' southern-fried country rocker with a pedal steel guitar solo, too. I know you guys all dig pedal steel as much as I do.

As almost always with DBT, lyrics are NSFW.

Sturgill Simpson is one of those guys I've been hearing about for years now and have meant to check out. Thanks for the push, speedpimp. I like that album a lot.

Another on my list is Jason Isbell, who I know from his time in the Drive-By Truckers but I just haven't gotten around to listening to his solo work yet.

There are three good used record/CD shops not far from where I work but I don't visit often enough.

Went to my local bar for dinner as my wife was going out with some friends. The music started off strong with some Devo and Ramones, but then I heard Minor Threat's self-titled song followed by a pre-Henry Rollins Black Flag track and goddamn if I've never heard music this good at a bar.

Then the new server complained and they changed it to something that eventually lead to Kanye's "Gold Digger."

Even when the place is playing something awesome, you're always a step away from somebody ruining it.
