On that one other forum someone posted a video from Postmodern Jukebox for their cover of Lorde's "Royals." I have come to really like PMJ - I actually bought their albums from Amazon. I enjoy this cover quite a bit:

She tries a little too hard for the country accent, IMO. I like her voice much better on the other stuff of theirs that I checked out (yay Youtube!).
The genre-bending is pretty fun.
edit: she's pretty good at languages, too, apparently, judging by the comments on her Korean in "Gentleman."
Whoomah!
On the subject, though, the dude behind PMJ also has a group called A Motown Tribute. It's awesome too.
Oh that I did...
For being from LA, she has a pretty distinctive almost New York enunciation that comes through, and I thought what's her name - Robyn - does a solid job of grabbing those details.
Fuck, I just wrote an entire sentence about Ke$ha's style. Well, now that the cat's out of the bag I'll also admit I like the Pitbull track with her doing the chorus. That guy is a shitty, shitty rapper but I like his voice. The combo works in that particular song.
Ha! That preview. The dude is a tool.
That song reminds me of square-dancing in school...
