I saw The Open House yesterday, which stars Dylan Minnette of 13 Reasons Why. It started out very interesting, and continued that way throughout, but fell flat on its face at the end. Truly a WTF ending.

    Such a disappointment.

Netflix on the future of The Defenders:

“As long as they keep making those shows, they continue on Netflix,” said Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos. “Our Marvel series that Disney produces for us — we own those shows. They run until we cancel them.

So while Disney owns the underlying intellectual property for Jessica Jones, Daredevil or Luke Cage, the Netflix shows based on these comic-book characters remain the streaming service’s property. “We get to use them for a very long time,” said Hastings.

...and I just ordered a metric shit-ton of Daredevil trades last night.

    Darkest Hour.

As a history junkie, I enjoyed hell out of this movie. Gary Oldman did an excellent job.

I watched Chris Nolan’s Dunkirk last night. It was good but didn’t quite live up to the hype it had in response to its critical reception.

Although the wonderful aerial combat footage is some of the best I’ve ever seen. That’s a genuine Spitfire landing on Dunkirk beach there at the end. Fantastic!

I also wasn't blown away by Dunkirk.

It was pretty good, but wasn't mind blowing.

Finally got around to seeing The Last Jedi. I liked it a hell of a lot better than I thought I would. It feels like it is 45 minutes too long.

Finished up season 6 of Suits. Pretty good. I think I’m the only one here watching that show.
